Standard Business Analytics reporting templates are available on Business Analytics XI 4.2 and Business Analytics XI 4.1
Universes are released every month and latest updates of “RM_Prod”, “RM_Carrier”, “SMS” and “RM_Utilities” are available on Business Analytics Downloads page.

Use Upgrade Management Tool when migrating from lower to higher environment
When migrating from one Business Analytics 4.1 environment to another Business Analytics 4.1 use Promotion Management application.
Java Version in Windows Programs The latest version(s) of Java on your system will be listed as Java 7 with an associated Update number (eg. Java 7 Update 21). Older versions may be listed as Java(TM), Java Runtime Environment, Java SE, J2SE or Java 2.

- Click the start button
- Scroll through the applications and programs listed until you see the Java folder
- Click on the Java folder,then About Java to see the Java version.
Follow the below steps
- Login to CMC (Central Management Console) with administrator credentials
- Go to Universes.
- Select the universe, where the rights need to be given.
- Right click on the Universe, select User security.
- A window will pop, click on Add Principals button.
- Select the user.
- Select the type of rights to be assigned and click on Apply and Ok button.
Follow the below steps
- Login to CMC (Central Management Console) with administrator credentials.
- Go to Users and Groups.
- Select the user for which the password needs to be changed.
- Change the password for the user and click on Apply.
Follow the below steps
- Open the Universe from Universe Designer
- Go to the Parameters
- Edit/Create a New Connection
- Export the Universe to the same folder
- Refresh or Run the reports
- SyncUniverse.exe will run on the same machine, where the Universe Designer is installed.
- SyncUniverse Utility version should be same as that of SAP Business Objects Version. > When using SAP BA 4.2 use "SyncUniverse for BA 4.2" utility > When using SAP BA 4.1 use "SyncUniverse for BA 4.2" utility
- Before running SyncUniverse utility, make sure that Central Management Server is running and Universe Designer should be closed.
- Please make “32-bit” universe connection before running the SyncUniverse utility.
- Existing universes must be backed -up before running the SyncUniverse Utility.
- User must have administrator rights to run the SyncUniverse Utility.
- Please follow the below steps to run the sync universe.
- Go to the root folder where sync universe is installed.
- Right click and select 'Run as administrator'.
- SyncUniverse for BO 4.2 requires minimum Microsoft .Net 4.5 framework to be installed on the machine.
Follow the below steps
- Use 'Refresh on demand' option instead of 'Refresh on Open'.
- Use minimum number of Report filters and Report variables.
- Avoid using complex calculations on the report.
Yes, SAP BO universe supports supplemental fields. In order to sync objects between supplemental you have to run SyncUniverses Utility,same is available on Business Analytics Downloads page.
Yes, SAP BO universe supports Admin Tracking fields. In order to sync objects between administrative tracking you have to run SyncUniverse Utility,same is available on Business Analytics Downloads page.
No, Sync Utility creates a class if it does not exists in universe.
